Mill Whistle Brewing is on the site of the 100 year old Safrit Lumber Mill. While this mill closed in the 70s the lumber yard next door is a viable operation. We have obtained the lovely steam whistle that announced lunch time in Beaufort every day for 100 years. Therefore, the brewery is named after this whistle. The brewery will be returning to the noon day whistle tradition.
